These waffles are one of my absolute favorite go-to for my first meal of the day! If I know I have a busy morning, I will make them the night before and heat ’em up in my toaster oven so they are still nice and crispy (just the way I like them)! It took me some time to perfect this recipe but now I make them so often, I know it by heart<3
I wanted to create a healthy waffle that wasn’t made with a supplemented protein powder – as so many protein pancakes and waffles are! Which is fine, but I thought with how often I like to enjoy these I should probably figure out a way to make them from whole foods. So after some experimenting I am proud to present this waffle recipe to you!! They are light, yet deliciously satisfying!

Heat your waffle iron on high (this is personal preference as I like my waffles a little crispy).
I lightly spray the waffle iron with canola oil to prevent sticking
Add all of the ingredients into a magic bullet. Pulse until well blended
Pour mixture onto your hot waffle iron. Be sure not to pour mixture to outer edges as it will expand while its cooking!
Top with a drizzle of honey or real maple syrup????????
