Do you recommend isolate or concentrate protein powders?

Just for the regular fitness buff not that big on gains.

    Also, why non-whey protein powders?

    Thanks for the vid!

It’s my understanding that when compared to isolates, concentrated protein powders typically contain more biologically active components and proteins, which make them a great supplement for all of us active people! Isolates are the purest form of protein available. Despite the high concentration of protein in the isolate form, it often contains proteins that have been denatured due to the manufacturing process. As a result the effectiveness of the protein is reduced. And this applies to all active fitness lovers and athletes alike – making gains or just getting lean and toned.

And as far as my love of non-whey protein…I’ve done a lot experimentation with protein powders (myself as the test subject) and I found I reacted negatively to whey based protein. It made my skin break out and upset my stomach. And although the taste was amazing – it just didn’t sit well with me. So plant and egg based protein it was 😉

      Thanks for stopping by!

    1. You are so soooo sooooooo pretty!
    2. Love you rumbling! 😀 It made me smile.
    3. Very useful info. I haven’t tried any of those powders yet, but I’ll be paying closer attention the next time I’m going to get one.

The Engrid I know rambles… 🙂 +1 on concentrate vs isolate. Nice job! I personally still prefer whey over plant based, but it depends on how your body reacts – you definitely need to go with what your body prefers. Whey is also considered by some to be less processed as it requires more work to get protein from plants vs. whey which is a by-product of cheese and yogurt.
