LPP #55 Dealing with Grief, Finding Alignment, & Living Intentionally with Chelsea Dinen

In this episode I am chatting with Chelsea Dinen, a writer, youtuber, blogger, and coach. And she’s an avid traveler + ((mover)). In five years, she has made five cross country moves around the U.S., moving solely for the life experience as she listened to the call of my heart. Her mission is to support, guide, and empower people to develop the mindset for alignment, fulfillment, and success through intentional living, lifestyle design, and travel. Through her own self discovery journey she found immense freedom to start her own business, dive into the world through solo travel, and find purpose in every step. Her blog & youtube channel infuse the practices of journaling, travel, and the art of hygge, to help us all create conscious, positive change in our lives!

IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS:

x What inspired Chelsea to start her YouTube channel

x The experience of suddenly losing her Mom in 2012, and her grieving process

x What it’s like to share your dreams with someone and not receive the reaction you were hoping for

x How her Mom’s passing gave her permission to explore what she wanted to be

x Letting go of the fear-mindset/negative self-talk around success: a story that she had adopted from her Mom

x How to let go of limiting beliefs and stories that have been projected onto you by others

x How her decision making process has changed:

x Shifting away from relying on EXTERNAL cues to make decisions, and instead focusing on the INTERNAL cues

x Dealing with resistance you may receive from others when you are trying to make a change in your life

x Designing the lifestyle you want, creating boundaries, and the preparation that goes into creating the life you want to live

x Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable, and going after what you want

x Her grounding morning routine and why she purposefully carves out this time for herself

x How much we both love and appreciate the practice of Hygge

x Giving yourself permission to be okay with NOT fitting into society’s labels, which can often feel like our identity (“I am a photographer” or “I am an editor”). It’s okay to explore and take a different approach. It’s also okay to do more than one thing, or flow from one curiosity to another.
