Hey Pod Squad!
In today’s minisode I’m sharing ALL about my most recent experience of overcoming fear! This past weekend I lead a workout at Lululemon here in Greenville. And in full disclosure there were SO many times I wanted to reschedule the event, or not even do it altogether????????♀️???? Literally wanted to curl up in a ball and hide…all out of FEAR.????
Fear of not doing a good job. That people would leave disappointed. Fear of not looking the part….But none of that happened! It actually turned out AMAZING✨ And I’m proud to say that I faced these fears (thanks to lots of encouragement from my husband Michael , some confidence-boosting mantras, and power poses). I stood in front of the room. All eyes on me. I had them set an intention and then I lead them through a workout. And as i did my focus shifted. And I realized how much courage it took for every person who decided to be there. To show up.????
Slowly all those fears started to melt away as I began moving. I found my voice. I began connecting with the the room, with the people. I know it may sound clique but I was seriously overflowing with gratitude for everyone in that room: for being there. For sharing an hour of their Saturday morning with me.????????And I never would’ve had this experience had I let fear call the shots. And then it hit me: fear blocks connection (duh!) ????????♀️Yes it’s uncomfortable, yes your palms will get sweaty, yes your voice may quiver. But getting to the other side will be worth it every time!✨
