Today is Part 2 of my conversation with Ryan DeBell, founder of Movement Fix. Join us in the wondrous and winding conversation where Ryan shares about the journey unpredictable journey of his business, why you have to almost be delusional to believe in what you want to create, and that things DO happen if you don’t stop creating.

THIS EPISODE IS GREAT FOR ANYONE WHO:

  • Has a vision but has felt discouraged at times with the journey
  • Feels compelled to create something but has yet to understand why
  • Is thinking about starting their own business

IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS:

  • How posture directly affects our perception
  • How our perception correlates to our experiences, behavior, and choices
  • Looking at the body as a whole collective and connected mechanism
  • How often we look to make things more complicated than they need to be
  • His recent discovery that its okay to be confrontational
  • Say what you mean without being mean – you’re not responsible for how others receive it
  • The value of being particular to what media you choose to expose yourself to
  • Reactive behavior vs. introspection of our emotions and the underlying issue – what triggered those emotions to arise
  • The better your can handle and understand your internal environment allows you to have more authentic relationships — allows you to resolve conflicts rather than further the conflict
  • Why you have to almost become delusional to the things you want to create/make happen – to believe in the possibility that they CAN happen
  • “The people that are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who can” – Steve Jobs
  • There are more opportunities in life than we appreciate
  • Fear Setting (from Tim Ferriss) / Worst Case Scenario Analysis
  • “I think the problem is that we’re thinking too small”
  • Doing what is easy – what anyone else can do – is going to make your chances of success more difficult
  • Doing what is challenging – what no one else is necessarily willing/qualified to do – drastically improves chances of success
  • The misconception that there has to be some kind of “magic” in order for an idea to work/be successful- but maybe you just need to work at it until it works, instead of thinking it’s mysterious
  • There’s no magic – it’s just not giving up
  • Perhaps it’s not what you’re doing that is wrong, but rather your timeframe (we often have to do things consistently and for longer in order to achieve the change we want to make)
  • Relax because it’s all going to be okay and just make the next best decision for you
  • Things DO HAPPEN if you don’t stop
  • Sometimes we are too close to what we like/passionate about to realize it
